Almost! We make our ice cream, sauces, waffle cones, and chocolate chip cookies in house from scratch. We also make almost all of our ice cream add-ins from scratch, including brownies, honeycomb, toffee, fudge, pecan pie, etc.

It’s true, every ice cream order comes with a free cookie! Both the traditional and gluten-free chocolate chip cookies are made from scratch with our family recipe using organic browned butter from Straus Family Creamery, Guittard chocolate chips, homemade organic toffee and a dollop of organic greek yogurt.

Our ice creams are almost entirely organic. We use organic dairy for all dairy-based flavors and organic alternative milks (without any additives) for our vegan flavors. The ingredients for our Tried & True dairy flavors that we serve year-round are listed here.
We have a binder in the shop that lists the ingredients for all of our flavors. If you’d like to learn more about ingredients in a specific flavor please just ask!

Our cookies are 100% non-GMO, but they are not 100% organic. Our chocolate chip cookies contain organic butter, organic unbleached all purpose flour, organic greek yogurt, organic cane sugar, organic eggs, organic maple syrup, organic brown sugar, rolled oats, vanilla extract, baking soda, baking powder (no added aluminum), kosher salt, and Guittard semi-sweet chocolate chips (made with sunflower lecithin).

All of our dairy-based ice creams are made with organic cream, organic milk, organic egg yolks, organic cane sugar, vanilla extract, and salt. We get our dairy from Straus Family Creamery and feel honored that we get to make ice cream from organic dairy sourced from California farmers! Our vegan flavors are made with a combination of alternative milks – organic coconut milk, organic coconut cream, organic house-made oat, and organic housemade cashew milk. Our Menu page lists the milks used in each of our seasonal vegan flavors. Most of our vegan flavors also have organic cane sugar, organic coconut oil, cocoa butter, vanilla extract, salt, and organic maple syrup, in addition to any other ingredients specific to a certain flavor.

We are a family-owned ice cream shop dedicated to serving the community of Encinitas small batch, artisanal ice cream made from scratch with real food and a lot of love.

With the exception of our local raw honey, all of our products are non-GMO. We source our honey from a local bee rescue company (Bee Man Dan) that has apiaries in North County San Diego. Due to the flight patterns of bees we cannot guarantee the honey is non-GMO, but we love supporting our local beekeeper and his bees make the best honey!

Each flavor is different, but we use a combination of the following: organic cane sugar, organic brown sugar, local raw honey, and organic maple syrup.

We never use corn syrup or high fructose corn syrup. A handful of our products contain organic/non-GMO corn starch.

The stuff you can’t pronounce!
We do not use any of the following: carrageenan, locust bean gum, guar gum, artificial flavors or sweeteners, food colorings, fillers, preservatives, or corn syrup of any kind.
We use arrowroot flour in our vegan flavors to help maintain a better consistency. We also use xanthan gum in our gluten-free cookies and cones.
